Wanna know what the deal is with Majora's Mask? Skip this if you want no spoilers.. it's in invisible text... although it really doesn't spoil anything.. just explains why the Stalkid (Skull Kid/ StalChild) is doing this.. you may skip over it if you want. Read it if you want to know a little bit about that character's motivations. Click HERE to skip it. Here's the deal. The Stalkid is an "imp" or rather the incarnation of
an imp. A long time ago, everyone in Termina lived in the middle of the
world. This was after the four giants created it. Then something happened
and the four giants that lived in Termina had to protect it. After their
struggle, they were tired and needed to rest.. so they proclaimed that
they would leave and rest in four temples of the world. People gradually
moved and formed towns and establisments around those temples. One inhabitant
of the land was not happy with this. An imp who was friends with the giants
before they had even created Termina was saddened and maddened by the Giants
departure. Then the Imp decided to torment the people of the land and make
his friends wake up and play with him again. The Giants woke up and threatened
to tear the Imp apart limb from limb. The Imp was terrified and bewildered
as to why his friends would do such a thing. So, the stunned Imp fled to
the Heavens. The people worshiped the Giants as gods. Years passed, and
the Imp fell from the Heavens again. This time as a small Stalchild. He
went from place to place looking for signs of his friends. Growing ever
sadder. Then he took shelter during a storm, under a log and cried. As
he cried to fairies discovered him. You should know who they are. Anyways,
the Stalchild was happy for a while, happy with his two new friends; but
deep in his heart, he never forgot his old friends. The Stalchild played
with his friends; but started to create mischief again... in hopes of drawing
out his old friends. He created small chaos and suffering to the people
he met. One day he came across a traveler who was carrying a large bag
of masks. The Stalchild wanted a mask.. and not having the money to get
one, robbed the mask holder. He found a strangely colored mask with wide
eyes and decided to take this one. When he put it on, a rush of memories
and schemes came into his mind. "I must bring my friends.. but how.. I
know.." The Stalchild was filled with a power he didn't have in his current
condition and then he realized what he needed to do.. he would bring the
moon down upon the world and destroy it. Then, all that would be left was
himself and his friends. he would destroy the world that the giants were
protecting and be reunited his friends.. he'd show them. Having not beaten
the game yet.. I'm not sure what will happen; but I do know is that when
you play the Oath of Order in front of the StalChild.. it scares the Hell
out of him and this ties in perfectly with the bits of character development
in the game. Oh, this game is brilliant. The side-quest with Anju and Kaeffe
is superb. You truly appreciate the characters. Even that dog that attacks
you in the city when you're a Deku has personality. The part with Pamela
and her Father in Ikana was great.. I mean.. the game makes you feel really
good when you do something good. On a side note.. it can also make you
feel horrible if you fail. For example, if you fail to save the cows and
Romani gets abducted.. they make you feel really awful the next day.. when
she's returned and has been reduced from a lively young lady to a.. well..
near vegetable. Hey, lots of character development. The Skull Kid's backstory
is easily more complex than many characters in other games. The game is
truly a work of art, a masterpiece. But oddly enough.. Mr. Miyamoto only
had a passing influence on the game. This is a game that proves that NINTENDO
as a whole makes awesome games; not just Shigeru Miyamoto. Not so with
many other companies. Sony IS it's third party developers, and Microsoft
is it's second parties. Sega is it's Teams; but. then again.. Sega is no
longer a "one console" company. Sega is, now, in my eyes.. just like Konami
but with their own system. Well.. enough of that.. Viral Speak!
Hey, I was playing Pokemon Silver and I got a Shuckle... well, the guy who gave it to me wanted it back so I gave it to him thinking that he'd probably be nice and give it back or something. Well of course he didn't, and I want another Shuckle. Is there any way to get one? - QinopioPhilip: Try breaking the rocks around the town with the Lighthouse... at night.. I just realized something... Most of the population of the USA doesn't realize that if there's no SOFTWARE, the system's HARDWARE is useless. Ergo (is that spelled right? Is that really a word??), the PS2 is worthless!!! PS2 has software, just not good software (except for DOA2 hardcore... <drool>) so DON'T GET APhilip: That link is VERY helpful. ^_^ Now Pikamom can fix her clock.. and I can put mine at the right time too.. I had it accidentally an hour ahead. Well, I suggest saving your game to a Mega Memory Card first... just in case.. Hey is this rare that im about to say?Philip: Hmm.. have you ever used a Game Shark or Game Genie on your pak? I want my Nintendorks back. - GeminiPhilip: Me too.. BTW, I got a Zelda:MM soundtrack, and it has the Ballad of the Wind Fish on it. You know where you can choose Shoot, View and Play? Hit SELECT there. Choose EDIT, then choose ALBUM, highlight DELETE and now push UP, SELECT, and START at the same time. If you do it correctly it will ask yo if you want to DELETE ALL of the pictures. I caught a Gloom on Catch 'Em.Philip: Like a lot of people I know.. Ahh, I won Bug Contest with L14 female Pinsir. Colored Pokemon is a inta-win kinda thing.Philip: Hmm.. By the way, that girl on the top image looks like Leela from Futurama. - JoltzPhilip: She's a Bionic Commando. ^_^ L13 Pinsir may do... the trick is, I think, if the Pokémon is really resistant to being caught, it's probably a winner. Because Lieberman is bad. Ralph Nader is well.. he'll never get a chance to amount to much; but you gotta love a Green Party candidate who makes Red Party politics sound good. It's funny how people embrace his views, when it's basically Communism. And as history shows us.. COMMUNISM DOESN'T WORK. I wish it did; but it doesn't. I'm sorry, those who vote Nader are voteing for their own ego and nothing else. Which is an absolute shame.. someone needs to give the commie some more money and let him into debates. The last "big" one left is Buchanan. If your friend votes Buchanan.. punch them in the face. They are not your friend. I'm voteing Bush, despite of. Not because. And a 25 DUI is as silly as a three year investigation on a BJ. However, Bush stands a bit higher in my opinion.. since he didn't give us any of that "I did not drink and drive with that car!" crap. I mean, he admitted it. It shouldn't mean anything. I mean, Al Gore admits he smoked a lot of pot when he was young. So what! Should we judge these people for something that happened 25 years ago or last night before slobbering on Tipper for that matter? I caught my first foy a few days ago, and I can't decide whether to evolve it or not!! Do you know when warlocked and pokemon G/S will be out in UK I dont feel like paying extortionate import prices!! - StingstonPhilip: Warlocked.. probably by January? Pokemon G/S.. by March.. I'll bet.. Mickey's Magical Tetris is my favorite GB Tetris. It's challenging, has lots of modes, and a quest mode. Tetris DX is good, but after playing it for awhile I got to like the original GB game and Magical Tetris Challenge alot more. - BrianCPhilip: I understand. Fellow gamers -- HELP!Philip: Cool! Someone from GamePro actually e-mailed me a while back.. no one seems to like Game Pro anymore though.. and that's kinda sad.. :( I remember I would swear by their information and reviews. Then EGM got better.. but now EGM has gotten worse... it's more like Famitsu now.. meaning it has bad reviews. I don't trust EGM's reviews at all. I like GameFan though. Always have. They were the only ones who seemed to share my love of the Virtual Boy. Lots of other magazines out there. Oh, that Bill guy at PSM. I hate him. I wanted to put him on my ICQ a long time back and he dissed me and Game Boy.. said it was for people who couldn't afford REAL systems and that no serious player would have one. Well, I hope he enjoys taking his PS2 up the.. never mind. I'm back! I have three things to comment about. First, I LOVE that picture. Does Al Gore work for Sony or something? It doesn't matter, because Nader & Tatanga must be president!Philip: I can't wait for Monday.. Submarine 6! Nader with his Communism and Tatanga with his Opression.. THAT would be a great vote right there. I wish Tatanga was real... Today's not the first. It's the second. Unless you're on purposely keeping the days one day behind in hopes of trying to throw the whole world off their schedule and into a state of anarchist oblivion.
