Viral Speak 09-05-2001
And the Viral Speak stood still! Philip is listening to: "Neon Genesis Evangelion with a Spanish dub and English subtitles." The best thing about DVDs is multiple language options. It's interesting how Japanese, Spanish, and French sound. French is more of a slur in sound, Spanish is quick and chop, and Japanese has a somewhat harsh "click" to it. The other day I watched X-Men: The Movie in French. BWA HA HA! For those wondering, here's my list of DVDs I own. Live Action
Animated
MK:SC for the GBA has the best Rainbow Roads!! I mean, take the SNES one. If you're a heavyweight, you are impossible to beat! Just knock everyone off! Then you get to the prize rainbow road... I mean, it's bliss! There are jumpers on the sides so you can get shortcuts, a huge speed boost that you can use as the ultimate shortcut (for you who own it, take the speed ramp, and as soon as you hit air, turn right for most of the way. You land right on another jumper which takes you to the three ? blocks and the jump to the end!) Plus, there are killer stars and shrinking clouds!!!Philip: I know, and the raods are transparent too. I thought that was the sweetest thing when I saw it in the game. Read your interesting if not wierd article on Metal Gear 2. I cant wait till I get the game. Has any one played the first metal gear for the NES? If you want another oldie but a goody game from Kojima check out SegaCD's Snatcher. Look for the metal gear overtones.Philip: Well, the Metal Gear thing was a joke in The Oddish. Which is set to launch again near the end of this month in a new expanded form. The first Metal Gear on the NES? Hmm.. *picks up Metal Gear cartridge* I feel asleep! Whats with all this DMGIcer food? (examples: Aipom cookies, H-Bomb milk) Whats next? Philip burgers? Ice Blue ice cream?Philip: Update more. Sure! Hello... I am a first time listener and noticed you had a bunch of my fave trax right off the ol' GB... but your missing one of my all time fave game's trax. Kirby's Dreamland! I decided to take the liberty to go ahead and dig it out and pop it in my GBC and put in the Config code, hook it up, and record 2 trax for ya. Hit me up at my e-mail... pikadrew@pikadrew.com for the two trax I got ya. I'd also like to get a few trax from what you have already. Thanx! - PikaDrewPhilip: Hmm.. I have some already; and I'll add them to it soon. So, sit tight! Some Kirby is coming to Radio DMG! I'm having a major problem with Blizzard Entertainment right now. Why? Because I went into their Blizzard Tech Support chat with a problem I was having. Well, after unsuccessfully being able to talk to a rep for that day I logged in the next day with the same results, but when I tried to log in a third day I found that I was BANNED from that channel. I didn't know what it could be so I e-mailed them wondering why, but my husband thinks it's because Lady Rend is similar to a known hacker's name on b.net. Well, they sent me an e-mail back and I am able to get into that channel again, but I was never given an explaination as to why, but I will get to the bottom of this. - Lady RendPhilip: Dang. RARRRRR!!!!! - Komo DunPhilip: My HERO! I think we should have an actual House of The Dead title before some pinball spinoff... also, what is the deal with Square and Nintendo? Does Square have a deal with Sony that prohibits them from developing for Nintendo, or don't they want to? cause now theyre developing for Wonderswan Color and PS2, And, i mean, GC and GBA are both more powerful... - NPersonPhilip: I argue about this with my co-workers at times. You see, Square wants to make GBA games. Nintendo's "story" is that no such deal will take place. Here's the reasons: Square bailed out on the N64, because of the systems use of cartridges. Which was a slap on the face for Nintendo. I suppose Square could have stayed and made cartridge games. But they are lazy developers after all, so they ditched it. Then president of Square, Sakaguchi, spouted off on how cartridges were bad, etc. The entire main reason for ditching the N64 was the cartridges. Now, the N64 didn't sell so hot in Japan. But.. the Game Boy still does. The Game Boy Advance looked to set HUGE sales. (And it did.) Square needed money, so they asked to make games for the GBA. However, they weren't original games. The games were ports. Now, look at this for a moment. Pick up your GBA and look at the back. See that? It's a CARTRIDGE SLOT. The system uses cartridges. Now, didn't Square say that cartridges were ancient technology, useless, etc? Didn't they ditch the N64 because of those cartridges? Now, they want to support the GBA which uses the same type of medium. And they had nothing to say in regards to making Game Cube games. They essentially sent the message that they wanted to support a cartridge based system, instead of Nintendo's new hardware which had DISCS. Now, that's like someone dumping you because you drive a car they don't like. Then you get the car a new paint job or win a race with it, and they come back wanting to date you again for the car. That's not right. If you're smart, you'll tell that person to "go away." What Nintendo is saying is "Go away, biotchie." Now, I don't belive in letting However, considering that what Nintendo says and what they do are usually two different things, papers may be being signed as we speak. I agree whole-heartedly with your views on The Legend of Zelda: GameCube Wicked Old-School Flava Edition (that should be the OFFICIAL title). I went on IGN's boards, and it seems like every other topic was "OMG ZELDA SUX THATS IT IM AN XBOX FAN NOW SUCK IT NINGAYDO. FAGFAGFAG, GAYGAYGAY. KIDDY! ZELDA!" or some crap. Beyond the rampant homophobic rants of "cool" 14-year-olds, the older gamers liked it. I didn't like it when I saw the screenshots, but seeing it in motion was like magic.Philip: Isn't the term "Mature Games" an oxymoron? No game is truly mature, or it wouldn't be a game. You play a game to have fun, now playing and fun are technically used to describe children. So, technically.. all games are kiddy games. OH! I forgot to mention how cool the new Zelda game looks. And contrary to some naysayers I actually think the game has some potential. Its like I told this one person on a message board who was bashing the games graphics; "While the graphics may be cartoony, the true extent of Miyamoto's genius will be revealed when the game is released." Lets just withhold all the bashing and stuff until we can sit with a GameCube controller in hand and give the game a try. After all, have Nintendo ever let us down before when it comes to great gameplay? - PoBob the Happy MonkeyPhilip: Hmm... Whoa, the GameCube comes out in a few months! My brain is hemmoraging when I consider all the possibilites. Luigi's Mansion, Wave Race, and Super Smash Bros. Melle are all on the top of my list. I cant wait! - PoBob the Happy MonkeyPhilip: BOW TO THE POWER OF THE PIKMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hmm... I saw one of the movie previews of FFX on Extended Play, and it seemed to me that they were just totally copying Sonic Adventure 2! I mean it! Have you seen the one where whoever the new hero guy is is grinding on a wire? I saw it and I was like, "Who do you think you are? Sonic? Or possibly Shadow?" Yep, exactly like that. ..but really, he was grinding down the wire, defying physics with his lack of SOAP shoes, then going so far as to jump from one wire to other! Hrmm.. well, I guess you'd have to play SA2 to understand... -BakaDragon~ Sky Rail all over again!Philip: Well, I don't like the idea of Tidus being able to grind anything. However, if they wanted to make me happy, they could have him fall to his death yelling "YUUUUUUUUUUUUNA!" At that point, you drop the controller and yell in disgust. Damn Sky Rail stage... Clarynet has very good taste! ^_^! "master of Pokémon: A New Journey" I like that! :) First time I've been called a master for writing a fanfic. - DukePhilip: Congratulations! You ROCK, Mr. Master! I'm flight! - FoyPhilip: Yes you are! YOINK! *steals her bra back* *hands Phil Imakuni? Neo's, TK421's, Kaiser's, and Locke's underwear* *steals Phil's pants and runs off with it* PANTS! =P - BlinkyPhilip: Another day, another girl removing my pants. *sighs* You know, it makes me sad that the Dreamcast died. It was a truely great system that did not get the recognition that it deserved. Oh, and perhaps you don't know this, but Sonic Adventure 2 is getting portted to the Nintendo Gamecube! HAPPY! Yes, I admit that I have been a Sonic fan for many years, and I would have to say that Mecha Sonic is my favorite character! I've been playing Sonic Adventure for a while now, and he's bugging the hell out of me because he floats in that tube - MeowtharPhilip: You can unlock Mecha Sonic in SA2 for multi-player. Just thought you might want to know. Good site. - Nintendo of AmericaPhilip: Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. ^_^ Splastic? I shall use this word for GREAT JUSTICE! - PersongasmPhilip: Somebody set you up the SHOP. |
