Ever sit down and stare at the bottom of an Optical Mouse? I mean.. just really stared at it? I just thought of something.. whatcha think..
Philip is listening to: "The Very Best of The Pogues" - Irish Rock for everyone! Damn Straight! I'm not singing for the future. I'm not dreaming of the past. I'm not talking of the first time. I never think about the last. hey philip, any experience with insomnia?cuz its makin me very angry.i cant get to sleep at night, and in the day i have to stay up,so ive been taking 200mg caffeine tablets.they help, but id like to actually sleep.any ideas?the good thing is,it enabled me to get all 8 endings in pinobee in 2 days.cool game, shows off the gba's graphics pretty good.too short and easy though.i like tony hawk 2 too,but i have a hard time adjusting to the controls.plus its my little brothers cart,so i cant play it as much as id like to...all i gotta do is wait till hes asleep, however, and pry the indigo gba from his limp fingers.i likes me white(glacier,right?)... - titan25Philip: I think Tea is great.. take this July 4th off and just SLEEP through it. Or try.. I mean.. it might help. Hey. Do the people over at Ign pocket have some strange obsession with patting their heads and rubbing their tummies? I saw the expression in 3 articles today! All reffering to the GBA's shoulder buttons, but its still kind of strange. Probably from being locked in cubicles for 8 hours a day with pokemon games... - .......................Philip: Well, I've never met Marc Nix; but I have hung out with Craig Harris.. and he has a bit of a belly.. maybe that's it? Great guy; but he's getting a tad pudgy. Last week, over 150 pokemon were rescued from a house in Pallet Town. It has been reported that many of the pokemon were malnourished and some had even fainted. It is suspected that the owner, who was found several days later drunk being the Celedon Casino, was involved in an illegal pokemon fighting club. In these clubs, members force their pokemon to visciousley fight other pokemon, sometimes even causing them to faint. Officials were alerted by neighbors who heard pokemon cries coming from the house. The pokemon have been relocated to a pokemon humane center, where they eagerly await new owners. Unfortunately, many of the pokemon will have emotional disorders for the rest of their lives... This senseless violence must stop. Pokemon have feelings too, you know... ONly fight them if you are planning to eat them. Yum, Pidgy Stew... Ratatta cakes... Im rambling now... What do pokemon eat anyways... ha ha... Go C++... void main(){cout << "Hello World.\n";}... Go Polymorphism!!! - AAAAAAAAAPhilip: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! I've found a way to sound important and freak people out at the same time.Philip: When I want to freak people out.. I mention that I have a lot of online... friends. I named my Ledyba Foy in Gold. - Slim ShadyPhilip: Great! *Gives you an Aipom cookie with a glass of HBomb Milk* Oh, it's best not to ask. Hark! I have at last found a game boy advanced, after 10 days of searching... sure, i got it at the local kmart, and the only color they had was pink, but i have found it! *phases out into cackling hysteria* And just so everyone knows, THPS plays twice as good on a pink gameboy. - JumboPhilip: Castlevania plays best on an Indigo one. Indigo is the color of KINGS! You know what really bothers me!?!? On Majora's Mask, I CAN'T PASS SKULL KID!!! TELL ME HOW!!! - Rei AyanmiPhilip: Off the top of my head.. I'm trying to remember.. these people might be more help though. :) Bigmog.com just closed down it's doors today. Man... I loved that site. It's such a bummer. Thank god this site is still here... and will forever be here too... right? Right?? Philip! You can't leave! ... Or, at least can't close down the site... Course, then this wouldn't really be DMGice then... Hmm... Yep... It's decided then... You must stay at this site and keep it going or else I'll gather up a gang of internet junkies and run a raid to, um, stand outside your house and complain really loudly!! Yeah! Now where's my Golden Axe and Sonic?! - Salohcin GeenPhilip: Unless something majorly drastic happens.. we'll still be around. We kinda survive stuff. Ya know? Not sure how.. but we do. Why must PSO be so addicting? WHY?! It's one of the worst excuses for a console RPG I've ever played, and yet... Yet... on-line... I feel a kind of kindred. A kind of... of...GAAH! MUST GO SET CHAT SHORTCUTS! - CX (Levia Marlys hangs out on Oberon.)Philip: I know.. it's all about killing enemies over and over again. But.. I have 6 characters.... and I hang out in Oberon or Ophelia. My character list is like so... Philipdmgice (Level 100!!) - HUCast Amy Red - RAcaseal Emily Laine - FOmarl Lum - HUnewear Nikushimi 09 - RAmar Zurui Otoko - FOnewear Wow. It's been a while. o.O Damn Phil, does it really take THAT long to fix a laptop? ::Is glad my own Compaq is still working:: Hopefully, whoever's "fixing" your computer now can do it quick, so the fanfic staff can be hired again! Speaking of which, I recently restarted my fic "A Brand New Journey" which is at http://www.newjourney.cjb.net (BTW, if you visit, PLEASE sign my Guestbook! I have 4 entries and half of them are done by me!)Philip: I'll add ALT Text soon enough.. bwa ha ha! Also, Fan Fic hiring.. by the end of July. THE TEDIZ HAVE WON AGAIN!!! I luv Conkers BFD do u? - BloO MunKey!Philip: Yes, actually I liked Conker's Bad Fur Day.. most of the "adult content" was parodies of R rated movies. But it was great. Even the bitter ending. I mean.. I like Monty Python.. I had no problem with the "Offensive" content. In fact, I thought it was pretty much less offensive then some games out there. It doesn't take itsself too seriously. I liked that. Also, it seemed fresh and original. I just read in your daily newsity that there is some screw on the back of the GBA that changes the screen brightness. And since mine is a Japanese system, it basicly has no warranty. So can you tell me where this screw is? (I'll *test* it if you like)Philip: Look in the back of your GBA, there's a sticker above the battery cover that says "Game Boy Advance", that sticker is "thick" under it is a hole. Now, it's a contrast dial. This is also on the GBC. It really doesn't improve the contrast much if the GBA was set rightly. The problem with it is it's fragile. So, I would recommend against it. If your GBA screen is *really* dark.. even on games like Namco Museum or Mario Advance.. the wrong and you may be able to help it by turning that dial just a tad to the right. But careful! I fixed my little sisters GBC's contrast. It was set wrong. If you have no real problem seeing games like Namco Museum or Mario Advance.. don't mess with it. Everyone has said to get headphones for the GBA. Well, I have another solution. If you have a reciever or radio with RCA audio inputs, you can buy a cord at wal-mart or radio shack that converts the headphone plug to RCA cables. It works great! You can turn the music up and it sounds like you are playing a home console. Just thought you might like to try that. - oryanPhilip: Or use PC Speakers. ^_^ HEYYY!!!!!!!Philip: Here. They can help you out. Oh, get that Caps Locks fixed. It makes you look like you're either yelling or a moron. Nobody wants to look like that. Okay, I gotta point this out:Philip: I can see that happening. There's these guys who work at the Base Exchange.. who swear up and down that SPORTS are the only good games worth buying and that he wouldn't buy a Game Cube if it didn't have sports. (It does, thank God!) I told him the other day that Madden 2002 would be Game Cube FIRST just to watch him sweat. That theory.. would it make "Dark Clod" the "Animal" of the videogame world? I Love cats! - JensaaraiPhilip: Frequently? What do you think of F-Zero, Philip? I think some people hate it because its too hard. I for one, love the challenge. - Admiral TailzPhilip: I really like F-Zero. It's a challenge and I like that. Also.. it feels like I'm actually GOING somewhere. Amalgamation is such a naughty word! - M3WTHR33Philip: I know.. it's a word like.. reitinerate.. or transfiguration. (More then meets the eye!) There is something almost magical about Mr. T. I was recently in a large room with about 12 or so people from varying age groups. (I think 16 ~ 30something was the min/max) There was a lot of side conversations and such, but one man, my friend, said something about Mr. T and suddenly everybody had an opinion. It's amazing how he is such a cultural icon, Mr. T brings generations together. I pity da foo who don't like Mr. T. - Orochi p_fishPhilip: I pity the.. never mind. Hey Phil! Cid is in FF:The Spirits Within! Except the C is an S, and thus his name is "Dr. Sid". He is Donald Sutherland's character in the movie. (the really old looking bald dude) Anyway, I haven't seens Street Fighter in so long... so please remind me who it is in The Spirits Within that was also in Street Fighter? Thanks SAIYONARA!Philip: She's like the girl who does Aika Ross's voice. I missed that Sid/Cid thing. My bad. There are a couple wildfires going on around here, so the sky's all red and apocalyptic-looking. It was raining ash yesterday. Cool, huh? - The HeptagonPhilip: How boring.. tell me when it's raining Misty, okay? You think the europeans have it bad paying for the GBA? We canadians have to pay close to $150 in our money. - Gfox00Philip: Last I was there. doesn't Canada use Blue Virii as money? I was wondering if anyone out there had a scan of the old "Play it Loud" series Gameboy advertisement (where it showed 5 people with colored hair, each of them with a matching gameboy on top of their head). I need it for a personal project I'm working on, and I figured this would be the best place to ask. Thanks. - Kevin FlynnPhilip: I think I still have that issue somewhere.. hmmm.. anyone want to help Kevin? He sounds like a nice guy. I would kill for a moca latte... - JumboPhilip: Hmm..... I could use this... nebuchadnezzar316 should be demodded right away! his modding sucks! - the people of NGCCBPhilip: Who is he? Regarding the comments on Ryan's "GBA -> TV" proposition in the last VS: "Unless you have a *very* High Defination TV, don't even bother. The GBA screen is 240 X 160 pixels or 38,400 pixels total at a 16:9. It has roughly 10,560 pixels per square inch. A normal TV is 640 X 480 at 4:3. Or.. in pixels.. 2,720 per square inch. So, in other words.. unless you don't mind playing an ugly, and squashed mess.. leave GBA games on a GBA screen."Philip: I was going by Nintendo's information. The GBA has a 16:9 aspect ratio according to Nintendo. Now, let me spell out why I'm against a TV out device for the GBA. While some games like Chu Chu Rocket or Mario Advance look okay on a large screen. Games like GT Advance, Dark Arena, Mario Kart, F-Zero, and more look purely BAD on a large screen. Also, many games use "layering" which doesn't come out right on anything other then the GBA/GBC screen. Old Game Boy games and some GBC games don't use that effect. So, they work with the Super Game Boy. Now a TV IN I have no qualms against. The GBA screen is sharper then conventional TVs. |
