Viral Speak 06-14-2001 Did the ground move for
you when you held that box up to the light and gaze upon the GBA? Well,
tell me if it did! If you don't have one yet.. don't worry. Why not talk
about games like Alone in teh Dark.. and.. oh, forget it.. just write in
people. ^_^.
Philip is listening to: "The Choose a player music"
in Super Mario Advance. BWA HA HA! Good. Now.. for a hint of Rayman music.
^_^
My new addiction: Tony Hawk Pro Skater
2. Music, sound effects, graphics, tricks and stunts, secrets...this game
has it all. My hands HURT when I finally turned it off and went to bed.
Not good for my arthritis. Why oh why oh why did I have to get arthritis
in my hands. Some guy at church told me it was ironic, but I don't think
it's funny at all. - pikamom
Philip: That wasn't nice of him to say. You should beat him up
yeah, um philip,
I just bought pokemon piball used and I was wondering
if there was a way to restart the pokedex, I want to start from scratch..is
there any way? there must be a way, I tell you..THERE MUST BE A WAY!!!!
- kaga
Philip: Hmm... Hold Up, Right, Select, and Start at the same time
before the screen that says "(c) '95 - '99 Nintendo." Then press
A to erase all data or B to cancel it. Maybe that help?
The release date list is a joke!
All the dates (which are Supposed to be for the Next Three Months) are
all from Last Year! Please fix! Please update!! - Bridget
Philip: Okay. I fix soon..
Damn Phillip, I'm afraid I will suck
at circle of the moon. I couldn't beat that bastard cerebrus...except by
using a fire whip and holy water at the same time....and only barely beat
him...and got hit by most of his stuff.....I am suck. Oh yeah, review Rayman
and F-Zero....they're both quite sleek and sexy. I enjoy 'em lots. - Tenryuujin
Philip: Level up a bit. :)
Stupid FuncoLand employees buying up
all the copies of Super Dodge Ball on opening day...
I mean, sure, Castlevania's a blast, and Chu Chu
Rocket (DAMN SONG...AWAY WITH YE!) rocks...But I just have this urge to
fling balls at foreigners...
Besides, the Nintendo version was a blast. - caffeine_junkei
Philip: Chu Chu Rocket! (ROCKET!) Put mice in that rocket here!
Chu Chu Rocket! (ROCKET!) Keep those kitties away from here! Now, handjive!
I LOVE the voices in Super Mario Advance.
And I don't know why people are saying the graphics in Castlevania are
dark and not that amazing...play in the dark with a Pelican light shield
and you will "see". I was going through a hall last night and you could
see the moon through the windows, pretty neat if you ask me. The music
is to die for. - pikamom
Philip: Pelican did right. :)
I wrote these last night for s very special
girl... :)
The Garden:
I'm walking through a garden
where the flowers all reach bloom
I smile, so very softly
Not feeling any gloom
Reaching for a rose
growing all alone
Perfection in itself
a tender deep red tone
This feeling of delight
It's like I was a child
Standing in my garden
My imagination runs so wild
This rose, it is so nice
I'll no longer feel blue
I remember this perfect rose
When I want to dream of you
The Curtain:
Speaking to a vision of loveliness
opening my heart to her
I must speak my mind and open up
I don't feel reassured
Nervously, I speak
Hoping, that in vain
She'll feel for me how I feel for her
So my heart feels no more pain
She holds me close to her own heart
My own just skipped a beat
I'd love to tell her what I feel
My feelings posses no conceit
Gather my courage into a ball
I musn't feel uncertain
I'll show her how I love her
and move past this Iron Curtain
Innocently:
The voices from my childhood
Whispering my crimes of innocence
I've long since forgotten
But now I pay the penance
The first voice was telling me
What I've done and what I'll be
The second let me know straight out
My life has taken an odd route
The voice of the third said
the rest were lying
Telling me that
My soul should be flying
The voices of my past were jealous
What is this they try to tell us?
They only want to cause me pain
They've never felt love's sweet refrain...
~Aaron Jennings~
Philip: Very nice! *sips his caffe latte*
Hey, I was reading that stupid Hsu and
Chan comic in EGM's latest issue (with Mario and the GBA on the cover),
when I saw a blue LEDYBA! Could that be Foy? I would have bought the magazine
and scanned it, but I haven't bought a copy of EGM since those bastards
screwed me over in "The Incident" (I'll tell you about it sometime). I
also noticed that the little Foy said "I'll swallow your soul!" That's
a little bit too much like The 'Pig from Jackie's Fridge... hmmmm.... -
Farfetch'd
Philip: Although that quote isn't from "Jackie's Fridge", it's from
an old B movie. However, I like Hsu and Chan. Even if that quote isn't
original. But what is. Oh, my! Talking appliances. That's incredibly original.
What next? Talking toasters? But.. then again.. Keenspace isn't about originality.
As a lot of comics hammer that point in. I guess if you want to.. you can
complain that too many jokes are the same in comics today? But similar
jokes... I suppose it's alright.
Right?
After all, when you get tired, you can always just dig up something to
fit. What was the thing with "The Incident?"
I think the new Smash Bros. game should
have that space explorer guy from Pikmin in it. Then he could just call
in some Pikmin to tear opponents apart. Those little dudes are ravenous...
- Axem Blue
Philip: The Pikmin can carry Samus back to my ship for food! Yeah.
Food.
Thank you for using the "BAM! on the
door, baby!" phrase in the headline. This just proves my point: "Love
Shack" is the GREATEST SONG of ALL TIME. Anybody who wants to fight
about it, bring it on. - Jethro McB
Philip: Mmmkay.
Just a thought. Nintendo should
have included an A/V port somewhere on the GBA so that you could have an
output to a TV. This would allow you to play all GB, GBC, and GBA
games on your TV with audio and use the GBA as the controler. I know
that the Game Boy is portable, but I spend most of my time playing it at
home and it would be less strainful to the eyes if it were on the TV.
I own a Super Game Boy and it was the best investment until the GBC. -
Ryan
Philip: Unless you have a *very* High Defination TV, don't even
bother. The GBA screen is 240 X 160 pixels or 38,400 pixels total at a
16:9. It has roughly 10,560 pixels per square inch. A normal TV is 640
X 480 at 4:3. Or.. in pixels.. 2,720 per square inch. So, in other
words.. unless you don't mind playing an ugly, and squashed mess.. leave
GBA games on a GBA screen.
Well, my opinion on the whole DB thing
(I just got back from vacation and read all of the past VS) is that it
WOULD be good if they kept the original dubbing (from when Pioneer did
it) I mean, and this is my view on DBZ, too. The plot is still fairly good
(I don't really like the whole android thing... it's too much of a pointless
stall) for DBZ, but the dubbing SUCKS! I mean, it has bad voices (I grew
up on the originals, so Piccolo sounds like a wussy prissy she-asexual
namek, Vegeta sounds half Canadian/British (The arrogance has taken a new
tone), and Gohan sounds like he had strep throat for a year... Kuririn
(Krillin) IS a freak, but now he has retarted voices, and... Everyone else
needs more work, too!), and the animation goes steadily downhill from here
(I've seen future DBZ...). DB, however, in the original Pilaf saga (done
by Pioneer, of course), had great dubbing and was very funny. The other
movie (the Kuririn/Lunch one) was so-so, but the original cast with WORDFIT
(all good anime use it) should come back... I miss Pioneer and Ani-Mayhem...
<sigh>... - Super SaiyaMew
Philip: Here here!
I hope that guy Duke realizes that there
are more than 3 DBZ movies... i don't remember exactly how many there are...
i believe its about 11... the Super Androids kick ass alot...
Broly and Cooler too *_* - Duke
Philip: Indeed.
More evidence that game manual writers
should die.
Just beat Oracle of Ages. At the end of
the game, you get a password, right? Well, that password has 20 characters.
But the space for it in the manual has only 16 spaces. I really hope
someone got fired for that.
Not that it's such a big deal to write it on a
separate piece of paper or anything. But stupidity irritates me.
The game rock though. Can't wait to get
Seasons. - 1600
Philip: Yeah! They rock... the games.. manuals are sometimes written
before a game is done. So, at one time.. 16 was enough. But somewhere along
the way, it ballooned to 20 and the manual was not rewritten. What you
have there is a failure to communicate.. not a fault on the manual writers
part. Manuals are generally finished while a game is 80% to 90% complete.
This is a cool word I found in the dictionary.
juju \JOO-joo\, noun:
1: an object superstitiously believed to embody
magical powers
2: the power associated with a juju
May the Juju be in your bloodstream. - kaga
Philip: Indeedy.
Can i be again at Viral Speak!?
^_^ - Imakuni? Neo
Philip: Sure. ^_^
Hey, I just noticed, my girlfriend looks
like Domino! ENVY ME, for nothing can stop her! - Admiral Tailz
Philip: Swifty! Just don't ever make her mad.
What's really fun in The Sims is to have
all the gals in the neighborhood fall in love with one guy (Mr. T in my
case, heheheh) and then invite them all over for a party. The only problem
was that Ulala moved away. -sniff- - Hopeless TR Fan
