About time.. after a month off.. and slacking. O_o Oh! Gold Thingie Nominees! First three categories! Vote in Viral Speak!! Oh, tonight's Viral Speak will be done by a random anime characters and Philip... of course. If this looks like it should be longer.. well.. there was such a back log that I just randomly clicked stuff and answered them. Then.. like. after getting at least a reasonable amount.. I kind of deleted everything else. O_o Sorry.. Best RPG of 2001 Nominees.
Thing that you should
feel guilty for doing the most.
Best Racing/Sports title
Philip is listening to: "Breathing" by Lifehouse. Because I am hanging on every word you're saying. Even if it's Viral saying. Also on my play list.. "Everything you want" by Vertical Horizon
Wow. EvS made the dirty dozen. Sweet. - aza zommaRei Ayanomi: .... Hey, good job handling Upstate Games, Phil. - Jesse DylanMisty: You should see how he handles me. Magi- World r going down?Rally Vincent: In this gun I'm cutting. mmm... You should buy one.. forks aren't as powerful.. Talking about Dimitri, I had no problem with him, other than the anxiety that developed when I saw the huge negative threads about him at IGN.com right after I ordered my Pokemon Center GBA. After the time passed that I was told would take for my treasure to arrive, I sent one e-mail stating my anxiety and he responded by saying I would get it. I waited another week and sent another polite e-mail to which he promptly responded. Notice the word polite. My GBA arrived 3 weeks and 2 days after I ordered and I was very pleased considering some of the horror stories I heard. I sent a final e-mail letting him know I got my package. By the way, it's good to be back, Philip. - pikamomSaint Tail: I guess I won't have to steal your money back for you, then.. Phil, the last time I was here, there was a Pokedex that actually did something. What happened? Where is version 3.0? And why do I have this sudden urge to listen to Ace of Base's "Tokyo Girl" and watch numerous episodes of Sailor Moon?Shinobu (Forgot her last name..): Erm... Ack! I don't know.. Philip-sempai! Help me! I don't know! I don't know.. I'm sorry.. I'm sorry! Don't hate me.. Philip-senpai.. I don't know what to do.. umm... EGM does not suck, they have unbaised reviews and have the best previews and game news in a magazine that I can find. Sure they rated the XBOX better than the Gamecube and make some mistakes but compared to other mags, EGM rocks. And no magazine is perfect. Plus it's only 5 dollars an issue! Now just don't get em started on Nintendo Power....ugh baised reviews, horrible rating system (5 stars? wtf? so now 3 stars is closer to 5 stars?)...bad coverage with little info...etc. Anyway EGM has been around for over a decade I think they know what they're doing. - MSG CowPhilip: I don't want EGM to be perfect, I want them to be good. And paying other people to do their features, or putting up screenshots doesn't make a magazine good. Their review system is the same as Famitsu's; and quite frankly.. Famitsu's review system sucks too. EGM also loves to ignore the Game Boy. They have some real asses on their staff. (God.. some of those people don't even play games in their off-time. They just name drop and hope people think they're relevant.) I like Shu and Chan, and I enjoy some of the features they have. But the magazine as a whole has gotten progressively worse as the years go by. And have you noticed the increase of advertisements, recently? Also.. the unbiased part.. ummm.. please.. stop.. I'm dying of laughter here. Do you think Halo actually EARNED it's platinum award? That shooter has frame rate problems, pallete swap levels in the single player mode (Which they must not have touched..), and nearly less of a plot than Super Smash Bros. Melee. But.. they do have some purty pictures, though.. so.. maybe they're okay. After all, it's not like screenshots are a dime a dozen thanks to the internet or something. ;-) SPORK! HOW DARE YOU DISS MGS2!!! That game is GOD... thats right GEE OHHH DEE! in other news... Golden Sun kicks ass too. G'night now! ::whallops phil over da head w/ a big fish:: - The TickPhilip: Hehehehehe Well, to put it simple.. I think Solid Snake has gone limp. MGS 2 has some interesting gameplay dynamics to it and that's great. However, the plot was poorly presented and I was actually disappointed.. I remember cheering when I saw the trailer for MGS2 at E3 2000. The game on the shelves right now.. is NOT the game I saw. It's some horrible bastardization of the game I saw at E3. I thought MGS2 would tie the whole story together properly.. I didn't even get that. It's like loving that first Mortal Kombat Movie.. and then being given Mortal Kombat Annihilation. DO YOU KNOW WERE TO BUY A CHEAP X BOX - JAIMESuu Kaola: What is that.. is it eatable? Thought the communists lost with the fall of the USSR, did you? Well, think again. What do you think that ".com" stands for? Company? I think not. We better start with a new domain name, like ".dem". Furthermore, all webmasters of ".com" domain names should be hanged as they are all obviousley out to dominate the world. I mean, really, if the thing was created by Al Gore... - SomeOnePhilip: Communism of the worst kind is alive and well in Cuba and China; but since the U.S.A. is run by a democracy, the people don't care and therefore, we let it grow and thrive. I was searching for Harry Potter stuff on the net, and i saw this site that said Harry Potter was satanic. And it was so funny and so stupid that i just had to laugh. Of course it was some extremely religious group of well-to-do people who thought Harry Potter was an occult satanist. And they kept referring to that one line "For the well organized mind, death is just the next great adventure." out of context! I read the whole freaking essay, and there was nothing worthwhile in there. Oh well. Anything kids like to read CANT be good, now can it?Hermoine Graenger: Why aren't I an anime chracter? I should be animated. Do you agree? *cue monotonous accordion music*Philip: The thing about that show is that on occassion.. it's brilliant. Other times.. I can feel my brain and eyes melting because of sub-par jokes. However, I do like Invader Zim and The Fairly Odd Parents. (How did that end up on Nickelodeon.. when it's obviously Cartoon Network style..) I DID IT! I read EVERY single review in the archive! All of them! From your random AMV review to "Wings of Honneamise"! BOOYA! - CX (Er... heh heh... i guess I missed that thousand sitting over there...)Philip: Hehehehehe Oui! I just realized I was making this thing Green.. instead of Red. O_O So I was watching the Orange Bowl last night. Pretty fun game to watch, as my team dominated the game. But anyway, the school bands were out in force, playing songs pretty much every time play stopped. And in the 3rd quarter or thereabouts, one of the bands began playing the Legend of Zelda theme. That's right. The Zelda theme. I couldn't believe it. Makes me want to hear other Zelda songs played by an orchestra. I can just see it now: "Next on the program, the Boston Philharmonic will perform the mountain theme from Link's Awakening."Philip: Sweet! You know what.. would sound GREAT done by a band? The ending theme for Metal Gear Solid for GBC... (Now THAT one had a plot. I mean, the US funding terrorists that decided to attack the US instead? Pretty damn realistic to me. I mean, look at one happened in real life! Thank you Ronald Reagan!) There we go.. now it's red. ^_^ x.x ~I dead - Viral SpeakLarge Totoro: Mmm.. the corpse of another.. let us begin feasting! By the way.. we ate Mei and Satsuki. Delicious! *sees Poppy Seed*Shinji Ikari: I musn't run away.. I musn't run away! Uh Phil, I read that list and was ok with it until I read the Super Street Fighter 2 blurb. You arent encouraged to kill 100 people in survival mode, you are encouraged to merely defeat them in a fight. Plus I never remember anyone saying "My fists will have your blood on them!", though I may be wrong. Anyway, The game is rated T right? So maybe the person should take into account that little fact. 10 year olds wont be playing that game... - Pobob the Happy MonkeyPhilip: Actually it's E rated. Looking at the Lion and Lamb list, I totally agree with you on support. I like there tactics of "don't buy this for your kids", as opposed to groups like the Parents Television Council, where they try to ruin things for everyone. It should be the parents who should ultimately make the right choices, not government or the media. If people like Lieberman had their ways, everything would be 24 hours of Barney or something like that, and wouldn't that just make everyone more violent? - HbombPhilip: I suppose I am kind of a tad biased toward the Lion and Lamb Project because I know the lady who runs it. But the way I see it, she means well and has good motivation to make this list. I mean, violence is everywhere, and parents should be able to choose correctly to match their values.Notice how the newest reviews have ratings information? I don't want some mother buying a game for their kids with out knowing the content. Besides, that way if someone shoots up a school, they wouldn't be able to blame Doom; because the parents would have NO EXCUSE for buying the game. So, they would have to shut up. Shantae is coming? Oh my... well, if that itself wasn't a reason for me to post a VS, then the fact that it's being released by CAPCOM is. Long live the gameboy. - Orochi p_fishPhilip: Shantae is going to be soo wonderful. Oh, I swear I will use this picture for something better later on.. I swear. |
