Holy crap! It has been over a year since my last "Milk This"? Let me rephrase that. It has been over a year since my last "Milk This" and no one has noticed? Well, I'm back, whether you like it, or not, or just do not give a crap. In my last "Milk This," I suggested some changes in the Pokemon franchise. First, kudos to Nintendo for including Wi-Fi in Diamond/Pearl. I am also currently hooked on Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, and I hope the linked moves carry on into future games. In "Milk This" #13 I suggested Nintendo include Genesis titles for Wii's Virtual Console. Not only did they do that, they went one better and got TurboGrafx 16 games... not that I know that many of them. Speaking of Wii, what's up with GameStop/EB giving less than a weeks notice on preorders, and doing it during the week. I called later that day, and all 5 area locations were sold out of preorders. I ran into a similar situation about a month ago on Amazon.com, where they sold out their allocation of preorders. How can you sell out a preorder? Can not they just get more? Well, there's still Toys R Us and probably some online bundles. I guess I never really got to rant in Milk This about the changes to E3. They make it smaller and more exclusive, and to add insult to injury, they change the date to a time of year where I actually could have gone. I really wanted to make it to an E3 one of these days. I guess I have a better chance scoring a date with Jessica Simpson. While I am in rant mode, I have to tell you- DO NOT PREORDER FROM POKEMONCENTER.COM. It took me at least 2 weeks after launch to get my copies of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red and Blue (yes, it was worth the wait, but that's beside the point). I'm still waiting on my preorder bonus. I preordered Pokemon Ranger- through BestBuy.com, not Pokemon Center, so it should hopefully be here shortly after launch. My friends colleagues Sarah and Akemi have both written columns about female gamers. If there are any female gamers in the greater Fort Myers, FL area, that are single and in their early to mid 20s, my e-mail is usfhbomb AT yahoo DOT com.
